So strange because I was able to boot to bios, Corsair makes good PSUs and watts is way more than I need right now! Tried a different PSU and Windows 7 booted without a hitch. RMAing the TX. Thanks to everyone for your help and suggestions and a happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks Stentorian. Delete all partitions and perform a new install under "compaitibility" or using the initial BIOS settings. Verify if the machine boots up OK.
I don't even get to the option to select what type of setup I want to do or load drivers. The systems freezes during install before I even get that far. Here's exactly what I'm doing: 1. Everything possible is disabled in bios, USB, sound, etc. Boot priority set to DVD first.
Turn on computer. Windows 7 DVD loads and immediately goes to the "windows is loading files Progress bar fills 2x 9. Hi Stentorian ,. It seems that you have not ever tried installing other systems like Windows XP and etc on your new built computer.

Well, I was having a similar problem - first time boot up with the Windows 7 DVD, and once I got past "windows is loading files", the sytem hung on the "Starting Windows" screen did not get to the 4 colored balls.
Windows is now installing and appears to be cruising along. Slight problem getting it to boot to the new hard disk after the files are copied instead of the DVD , but should get past that. I finally narrowed this down to the actual pciex1 usb expansion card itself.

All I can see is the standard Win7 background and the mouse cursor which I can move around. The DVD I burned the image to is also fine as it works when I try to use it to install win7 on a virtual machine.

I'll try disabling FDD on my next reinstall however. In my case I needed to unplug the smart card reader to get past the stuck install. Thanks however to the OP for leading me down the right path. Fogetting to unplug my iPOD caused the hang on my machine, it seems to be an issue with it checking the disks on the machine and not being able to determine the format of the disk! For example; on my Gigabyte PUD4 i made the RAM run at mhz instead of mhz along with some other "lower the speed of "x" stuff and it worked.
