I figured it out, I have to take the file containing the map itself out of the originally download file and delete that file so that the map file is there.

You have to extract the file you can find online converters if you dont have one, I used 7-zip and then go to computer, program files, steam, steamapps, common, and then amnesia. If you have Steam installed on your computer, you should have a folder with Steam files in it. Same thing with Amnesia, if you have it installed in your computer, there should be Amnesia files somewhere on your computer.
Try searching these files again; if you still can not find them, then you have a problem beyond the comprehension of the human being, and I won't be able to help you. Seriously, you MUST have the files, otherwise, you computer is cursed.
That's what I though and that's why I was intrigued, especially since I had actually browsed those files before. Turns out, it was true, I do have the files. The thing is, they were "hidden", and my computer doesn't show them in the "search" option as it used to do if I recall correctly.
